What are Veneers?
Veneers are thin pieces of porcelain to provide additional strength to your teeth. These porcelain pieces are made personally for each patient to contour their teeth. Once they are bonded to the tooth’s enamel, they resemble a natural-looking tooth. Veneers are less invasive option than braces or dental crowns. What are Veneers used for?
Veneers can be used to fix tiny misalignments or close up gaps between teeth. This advanced and permanent solution can also be used to brighten up teeth, correct fractures, and neaten your smile.
What is the Veneer process like?
As the veneer process begins, a local anesthesia may be applied based on the patient’s sensitivity. Our dental experts will cleanse the tooth to better determine the correct shade of color for the veneer. To make room for the veneer on the tooth, a very small amount of enamel of the tooth will be removed. A replicative design to your natural teeth will be created so that the veneer best matches the color of those surrounding it. Once the veneer has been made, it will be cleaned and carefully implanted onto the treatment site with an adhesive. Any excess material will be removed and the veneer will be polished. Patients will schedule a follow up appointment with our dental experts to ensure your comfort and determine if any alterations need to be made.
